Budget travel trip to Goa

BUDGET TRAVEL TRIP TO GOA

cost effective trip to Goa

Are you planning for a Goa trip? Are you worried about the budget? After reading this article, you will see how inexpensive your Goa trip can be. Goa is the only place that lives in the heart of every Indian. Here is a budget plan to travel to Goa in less than 10 K. Let’s make it happen and see how you can manage your trip to Goa.

Goa tour packages from Delhi

You can reach the metropolitan city for a faster trip and then try taking trains such as Janshatabdi and Rajdhani as they are low-budget, comfortable to travel. You can enjoy the beautiful sights on your way and see nature at its best. However, prices are high during December and January; avoid traveling these months. Whether traveling by train or flight, make a wise decision as it makes a massive difference in your budget plan.

Route from Delhi

You can choose the fastest train at your convenience, like Goa Express, Rajdhani. The fare of the train varies between INR 5085 to INR 780 depending upon which coach you choose. Traveling from Delhi is the best route to select if you want to plan on a budget. You can make an early booking for availing the discounts and cashback. As you are planning your trip just after Covid-19 so you must follow some special guidelines.

Opt for public transport than renting the car or jeep. You can rent a scooter or bike, which will cost you INR 500. Remember you spent your money wisely if you are planning a budget trip to Goa.

Goa Budget trip

  •  Accommodation –

You don’t have to stay in lavish hotels or casinos in Goa. You can opt for hotels/OYO/ Shack that will cost you less. When you visit Goa, it is more about outing rather than staying indoors. Choose the area such as Calangute, Baga, Candolim, and Anjuna as these are the main areas for the party and can reduce the cost of traveling budget. You can carry extra clothes to minimize the laundry cost.

The few hostels available at Goa where tariff per night varies from 350 to 500 rupees

  •  Roadhouse Hostel –

Address: 954, Grand Peddem, Near German Bakery, Monteiro Vaddo, Anjuna

Price of Stay: It starts from INR 500

  • Red Door Hostel –

Address: 651/4, D Mello Vaddo, Bardez, 403509 Anjuna

 The Backpacker Panda –

Address: 1116, Anna Vaddo, Ximer, Candolim

Price of stay: It starts from INR 399

  •  FOOD & DRINKS –

Plan your budget for the food as it is the basic necessity. I prefer thalis in Goa as it costs you Rs 100 – 150 in North Goa. If you wish to have some seafood, you can order fish thali that will cost you nearly about Rs 250. Carry ready to eat and cook food like Maggie, Chips, snacks, etc. It would be best if you tried some Goan plates of seafood in North Goa.

Well, considering you will be in Goa, booze is available relatively cheap. It’d be better if you buy your drink from a wine shop instead of ordering at a shack. A beer bottle will cost you 35-40 rupees while purchasing from sheds and restaurants can cost you Rs 80.

  • Party at Goa –

Goa nightlife is all about party scenes. You can visit the top clubs and hubs in your budget. Avoid weekend watersports activities and clubbing as the prices are at the hike. Famous clubs like Cabana and LPK have the lowest prices. The couple entry costs you Rs 1500, and you can get free drinks inside.

Some hubs where you can enjoy the party in your budget are:

Tito’s –

Location: Tito’s lane, Baga

Timings: 9 pm to 4 am

SinQ Night Club –

Location: Sinquerim, Goa (Located near Taj Hotel village)

Timings: 10 pm to 5 am

Kinner Kailash Yatra

RESORTS & HOTELS IN GOA

Best budget resorts and hotels in Goa

According to Hindu Mythology, Kinner Kailash is a sacred place in the Indian Himalayas associated with Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. A natural pond/Kund near Kinnar Kailash peak, known as Parvati Kund, is considered Goddess Parvati’s creation. The path leading to the mountains is not easy, and it is the most challenging Trek. The Kinner Kailash Parvath is at the height of 17200 ft above sea level, and the Kinner Kailash range is in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh near the Indo Tibetan border.

Mythology states that Lord Shiva conducted a meeting of Goddesses and Gods at Kinner Kailash peak every winter. This accounts for the Yatra that takes place every year during this time by devotees of Lord Shiva and local deities. It is also known as ‘Aashiqi Park’ as it is a meeting point of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The locals of the region help you to reach this rock. It takes 2-3 days to complete the Trek.

Trekking track to Kinner Kailash

Kinner Kailash is a 14 km long trek which is not an easy one. If you wish to trek, you will surely enjoy the beauty of nature and surroundings.

There are snow-clad mountains, lush greenery forests, and green apple orchards. The landscape view on its way is mind-blowing, and it makes the Trek more exciting. Through this Trek, you will reach Sangla valley and Hanging Valley, where you can see nature at its best. It is the land of tales and legends, and once you are there, the view is undoubtedly worth the hard work of trekking to Mount Kailash.

Best time to travel Kinner Kailash

The starting point, i.e. the base camp of the Trek, is Tangling Village in Himachal Pradesh. It is located at the height of 7050 ft on the banks of the Satluj river. From there, you can take Jhoola Pul, i.e. the hanging bridge, for the further journey.

From tangling, you reach Malang Khata, which is 8 km and then Parvati Kund, which is 5 km from there. After moving one kilometre, you go to Kinner Kailash Shivlingam to seek the services of a guide you can take from the Tangling village.

Best time to Trek

The Trek starts from May to October every year. However, it is recommended to go between September and October. The region experiences heavy rainfall during June, July, and August, making it difficult for the trekkers. Avoid going during these months, as landslides are expected during the monsoon period. Remember to avoid trekking at night.

Things to carry while traveling to Kinner Kailash Parvath

While going on a trek, remember to carry few things that are necessary for you. A few suggested things are woollen clothes as the temperature is cool, trekking shoes/boots, walking stick as the road is a bit dangerous, sunglasses, water bottle, energy drinks, windcheaters, first aid box, flashlight, and batteries, etc.

The Wrap

If you are planning to Trek to Kinner Kailash Parvath, remember to avoid going during the monsoon period. Every year thousands of devotees go trekking, and it is quite a difficult task. It would be best if you were careful while traveling as the chances of road accidents are more. Natural calamities such as landslides are common.

Before starting the journey, remember to be careful. Kinner Kailash trekking gives striking views of the snow-cold desert mountains, fertile green valleys, and vast fields of stunning orchard flowers. The natural beauty of the place is beautiful for tourists.

Redefine the joy of travelling by exploring Malaysia

Are you planning to travel to Malaysia and want to know about the place? In this blog, you will get to know the details of the place, such as the best time to visit there, famous places to go, currency, language, and travel costs.
Malaysia, the best country one can travel to in Southeast Asia. The country has a unique culture, staggering natural diversity, and famous food. But there are few things you should probably know before you travel to the place as you can enjoy your time there.

As Malaysia is a diverse country, from culture to geography, one needs to research in advance, especially if you are traveling independently.

Malaysia

How can you get there?

Most tourists arrive in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. To get between destinations within Malaysia, you can also use domestic flights. Suppose you are looking to get the best flight prices for Malaysia. In that case, I always recommend checking out Skyscanner who advertises deals for international and domestic flights, including those operated by low-cost carriers.

Best time to visit and for how long?

November to February is the best time to visit the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia when it is less hot and humid. June and July are the best months for visiting the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. From October to March, you can visit Malaysian Borneo and see Orangutans.

As there are many things to do in the country, you can easily spend 2-3 weeks, and still not see everything. I would advise you to stay for 3-4 weeks if you want to enjoy jungle trekking, volcano climbing, and multiple island hopping.

Visa

Many travelers traveling from New Zealand, Australia, UK, and North America do not require visas whether they travel via air or land.
Many Southeast Asian passport holders also do not require a visa.
I received a 90-day free stamp on entry to Malaysia as a British passport holder.

Places to visit in Malaysia

The places to go in Malaysia depend on how long you stay there. If you are traveling for a short period, you can stick to Peninsular Malaysia. Here are some places you shouldn’t miss out on:

  • Kuala Lumpur – The country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur is a great place which one shouldn’t miss. I recommend you to stay there for at least two days. Follow this link to know the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur
  • Malacca – Malacca is a lovely colonial port full of historical attractions, and you can easily chill here if you stay for 1-2 days. Things you can plan in Malacca

Currency, Culture, and Language of Malaysia

$1USD = 4-5 RM.

It is fascinating to see and experience the diverse culture the country holds. The culture of Malaysia makes an amazing destination for travelers as there are many religious ceremonies and cultural festivals held every year.

Many different languages can be heard on the streets of Malaysia. Malay is the official language of the country. Other languages such as Punjabi, Tamil, Mandarin, and Hokkien are also widely spoken. English is also the popular language that is spoken in the country.

Cost of traveling

Malaysia is a fairly developed country, and many cities are clean and efficient. The country is reasonable to travel to, and one can easily enjoy it there. I spent $50 per day, which included a stay at a personal room in a hostel and two times a day eating outside. There is no need to spend money on a tour guide as you can easily explore the country. All I can say is that Malaysia is an easily affordable country to visit.

Conclusion
